Lasting longer than pulling force alone — collagen-stimulating thread lifting

The material and structure of the thread change the result In absorbable P(LA/CL) thread, carrying NAMICA hyaluronic acid
APTOS is a 4th-generation high-end thread lift in which the fine cogs on the surface of a bioabsorbable P(LA/CL) thread catch and lift sagging tissue into place. With the addition of NAMICA technology, three actions occur at the same time: physical lifting, collagen formation and hyaluronic acid release.
Why a thread lift lasts The three structures of APTOS threads
01 Cog
The strong hold created by fine cogs
The fine barbs (cogs) densely engraved on the thread's surface firmly hook and lift sagging soft tissue. Because they grip tissue more strongly than smooth threads, an immediate lifting effect can be expected.
02 PLLA · PCL · HA
A triple-bonded structure of PLLA · PCL · HA
PLLA is absorbed in the body and induces the production of your own collagen, while PCL adds flexibility and durability to strengthen the thread's supporting power. In addition, HA promotes moisture regeneration within the skin, so the three actions work together.
03 NAMICA
Natural absorption · regeneration in the body
While the thread is inserted and holding the tissue, the PLLA and PCL material is gradually absorbed and induces collagen production; during this process, hyaluronic acid encapsulated in nano-micro particles is slowly released from within the thread.

These are the questions we are asked most often during consultations. Answers may vary depending on your individual skin condition.
How much does APTOS thread lifting cost?
It depends on the type of thread (Thread, Needle or NAMICA), the number used and the treatment area, so we advise you during the consultation after assessing your facial structure and the direction of sagging. Rather than increasing the number of threads, it is the lifting direction and the design of the fixation points that determine the result.
How long do the results of APTOS thread lifting last?
Right after the procedure you can see the change as the fine barbs lift the tissue, and while the threads are absorbed, collagen forms around them so firmness continues even after the threads are gone. Results generally last in the range of 1–2 years with individual variation, and combining with Ultherapy or Thermage allows a longer-lasting plan.
What side effects can occur with APTOS thread lifting?
Swelling, bruising or a tight feeling may occur at the insertion site and usually subsides within 3–7 days. Rarely, the threads may be felt or the skin may look temporarily uneven, so avoid rubbing the area hard for a few days.
Does APTOS thread lifting hurt?
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so discomfort during treatment tends to be minimal, and the hyaluronic acid coating on the thread surface reduces friction during insertion for a smoother procedure. For a few days afterwards you may feel tightness and stiffness; the degree of discomfort varies from person to person.
How many threads are used in APTOS thread lifting?
It varies with the area and degree of sagging; during the consultation we assess your facial structure and decide the number of threads per area. The Thread Method is used for the cheeks and jawline, the Needle Method for fine areas and delicate lines, and NAMICA threads when hydration and regeneration are also needed. The direction of lift and the fixation points determine the result more than the number of threads.
What is the difference between APTOS thread lifting and Silhouette Soft?
With APTOS, the fine cogs on the surface of the P(LA/CL) thread catch and lift the tissue, while with Silhouette Soft, the 3D cones attached to the PLLA thread support the tissue from below. The right thread is chosen during the consultation according to the direction and weight of the sagging and the thickness of the skin, and Dr. Kyungeun Lee, an official APTOS trainer, plans the treatment personally.
Results and how long they last may differ depending on individual skin condition, and our medical staff will explain possible side effects during the consultation.
