Evenly, down to 1.5 mm in the dermis ultrasound lifting delivered evenly
SUPERB ultrasound lifting · performed personally by Dr. Kyungeun Lee
×
A new ultrasound that avoids nerves, blood vessels and the fat layer only the mid-dermis precisely a new ultrasound that heats
SUPERB™ ultrasound beams deliver energy evenly to the dermis at 1.5 mm, inducing collagen and elastin production. Because the thermal stimulation is confined to the dermal layer, there is little damage to the epidermis and underlying tissue, and the low discomfort makes it suitable for those starting lifting treatments for the first time.
How it differs from conventional ultrasound lifting Three characteristics of Sofwave
01 SUPERB
7 uniform beams targeting a depth of 1.5 mm
Seven SUPERB™ ultrasound beams deliver thermal stimulation simultaneously to the mid-dermis (1.5 mm), inducing collagen and elastin production while minimizing damage to the epidermis and underlying tissue.
02 Uniform
Even lifting with no blind spots
Unlike conventional methods that deliver one shot at a time, 7 beams side by side stimulate a wide area at once. Energy is delivered evenly across the entire treatment area, so a lifting effect can be expected without blind spots.
03 Cooling
Less discomfort thanks to the Infinity Cooling System
The Infinity Cooling System protects the epidermis and reduces discomfort during treatment, while real-time energy delivery feedback helps minimize epidermal damage and side effects.
How DER AaN Cheongdam works with Sofwave We assess the depth, define the area, and treat evenly
SEEChecking skin thickness · concerns
We first check whether the sagging is in a superficial layer, such as fine lines, brows, under the chin or the neck.
PLANArea · line design
We divide and design the lines across the whole face and neck, and the inner arms if needed.
TREATPerformed by the doctor herself
Dr. Kyungeun Lee personally performs the treatment along the planned lines while monitoring temperature.

Three stages of change that take place Three Stages of Change
1StepBeam delivery
Seven ultrasound beams reach precisely to a depth of 1.5mm in the mid-dermis
2StepThermal coagulation
Cylindrical thermal coagulation points of 60–70°C form side by side in the targeted area.
3StepRegeneration
As damaged tissue recovers, collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid are newly produced
The epidermis and fat layer are left untouched, so there is virtually no downtime.
SOFWAVE
Dermis at 1.5 mm, 60–70°C. Heats only the depth that needs it, precisely.

Cooling · Temperature Monitoring
Performed while monitoring skin temperature
For those who want to start lifting without much burden.
These are the questions we are asked most often during consultations. Answers may vary depending on your individual skin condition.
How much does Sofwave cost?
It varies with the treatment area (full face · eyebrows · under the chin · neck · inner arms) and its extent, so we check your skin condition at the consultation before explaining. We first look at whether the laxity is in the superficial layer and determine whether Sofwave is suited to your concern.
When do Sofwave results appear and how long do they last?
In the thermal coagulation zones created in the dermis at 1.5 mm, new collagen and elastin form, and firmness gradually increases over roughly 4–12 weeks. Clinical studies have reported results lasting up to 12 months, and outcomes may vary depending on individual skin condition.
What side effects can occur with Sofwave?
Erythema, mild swelling and a feeling of heat may occur after the procedure, and these usually subside within a few days. The thermal effect is confined to the dermis at 0.5–2 mm and is designed to avoid the epidermis, nerves, vessels and fat layer, while cooling and real-time temperature monitoring protect the epidermis.
Does Sofwave hurt?
As the dermis is heated to 60–70°C for 4–5 seconds, there is a momentary sensation of heat, so the treatment is performed after applying a numbing cream. Sofcool cooling keeps the epidermis cool throughout, so the burden of discomfort tends to be low; this makes it a good option for those starting lifting treatments for the first time, though the level of discomfort varies between individuals.
How long does a Sofwave treatment take, and what is the recovery period?
A full-face treatment takes about 30–45 minutes. Since the epidermis and fat layer are not affected, no separate recovery period is required — you can wash your face and go about daily life on the day of treatment, and it can be performed on all skin types year-round.
What is the difference between Sofwave and Ultherapy?
Sofwave uses parallel beams to warm a broad area of the shallow dermis at 1.5 mm, addressing fine lines and firmness, while Ultherapy creates coagulation points in the deeper SMAS layer to lift sagging. If your concern lies in the shallow layers, Sofwave is prioritized; if sagging is deeper, Ultherapy comes first — and the two may also be planned together.
Results and how long they last may differ depending on individual skin condition, and our medical staff will explain possible side effects during the consultation.
