Quadrostar Pro Yellow — model with natural-looking skin
×QuadroStar PRO YELLOW

Targeting the vascular layer rather than the skin surface the cause of redness,
we target the blood vessels directly

Quadrostar Pro Yellow is a high-power semiconductor (HOPSL) laser that uses the 577 nm yellow wavelength, at which hemoglobin absorption is highest. Melanin absorption is lower than at 532 nm, so the burden of side effects is smaller and it can also be used on darker skin tones. It is used for telangiectasia, facial redness, small hemangiomas and benign pigmentation.

Why Quadrostar is different Three features of the yellow laser

  1. Quadrostar Pro Yellow front panel
    01 577 nm

    Peak hemoglobin absorption range

577 nm is the wavelength most readily absorbed by hemoglobin in the blood. Compared with green wavelengths that are absorbed by pigment, it acts more selectively on blood vessels and reduces damage to surrounding tissue.

  2. Scanner handpiece
    02 Scanner

15×15 mm scanner with integrated cooling

The scanner handpiece precisely covers a 15×15 mm area, while integrated skin cooling protects the epidermis from heat during the procedure. Standard 1.0 mm spot size (0.5 · 1.5 · 2.8 mm options).

  3. Pen-type handpiece and tips
    03 Modes

Six modes tailored to the lesion

With Basic · Expert · Scan · Burst · Varix · CW modes, pulses from 1 ms to 95 s and frequencies of 0.5–100 Hz, settings can be tailored to each lesion, from capillaries to small hemangiomas. Maximum output 5 W.

How DER AaN Cheongdam works with the yellow laser We assess the vessels, select the mode, and treat with cooling

  1. SEEChecking vessels · redness · pigmentation

We first determine whether the redness comes from vascular dilation or inflammation, and whether pigmentation is also involved.

  2. PLANPlanning of mode · spots · number of sessions

Telangiectasias are treated with the pen handpiece and broader flushing with the scanner, with the number of sessions set accordingly.

  3. TREATPerformed by the doctor herself

Dr. Kyungeun Lee, an advisory committee member in laser medicine, personally performs the treatment with cooling on, in the mode she has designed.

Questions Quadrostar Pro Yellow Q&A

Frequently asked questions

These are the questions we are asked most often during consultations. Answers may vary depending on your individual skin condition.

How much does Quadrostar Pro Yellow cost?
It varies depending on the area — whether it is redness across the whole face or only part of the cheeks — as well as the number of capillaries and the number of sessions, so we explain it during the consultation. Widespread redness is treated with the scanner and fine vessels with the pen-type handpiece, designed separately.
What kinds of redness is Quadrostar Pro Yellow suitable for?
The 577 nm yellow wavelength is well absorbed by hemoglobin in the blood, so it is used for dilated capillaries, flushing, acne redness and small hemangiomas. We first assess whether the redness comes from vascular dilation or inflammation, and whether pigmentation is also involved.
How many Quadrostar Pro Yellow sessions do I need?
It depends on the thickness and depth of the dilated vessels and the extent of the redness. Fine vessels may respond in fewer sessions, while widespread redness is usually treated over several sessions spaced apart. This may vary from person to person.
Is Quadrostar Pro Yellow treatment painful?
Because the integrated skin cooling is on during delivery, most people feel only a prickling sensation of heat. The level of discomfort varies by area and by individual, so whether anesthesia is used is decided during the consultation.
Does Quadrostar Pro Yellow cause redness or scabbing afterwards? When can I wear makeup?
There may be redness and slight swelling after the procedure, which usually settles within a few days. Areas where fine vessels were treated may look temporarily redder or form small scabs; makeup is generally possible from the next day, and sun protection is needed.
How are Quadrostar Pro Yellow and StarWalker different?
Quadrostar Pro Yellow targets blood vessels at 577 nm, while StarWalker targets pigment with picosecond pulses. 577 nm is absorbed less by melanin than 532 nm, so the burden of side effects is lower. If redness and pigment are mixed, we design the two devices separately.

Results and how long they last may differ depending on individual skin condition, and our medical staff will explain possible side effects during the consultation.
