Exactly at the depth you want With needle depth and waveform, address skin concerns individually
Sylfirm X is an RF microneedling device in which 0.3 mm microneedles deliver radiofrequency energy to the desired depth of the dermis (0.3–4.0 mm). With two waveforms — continuous wave (CW) and pulsed wave (PW) — and eight modes, it addresses concerns layer by layer, from pigment and vascular lesions such as melasma and redness to pores, elasticity and scars.
Why Sylfirm X is different Three features of RF microneedling
01 Depth
Depth adjustable from 0.3 to 4.0 mm
Needle depth is adjusted in 0.3 mm increments, reducing damage to the epidermis and delivering radiofrequency only to the intended layer. The basement membrane, dermis or deep dermis is selected according to your concern.
02 CW · PW
Two waveforms, eight modes
Pulsed wave (PW) delivers heat selectively to the basement membrane and abnormal vessels, so it is used for melasma and redness, while continuous wave (CW) creates thermal coagulation around the needles and is used for pores, firmness and scars.
03 Tips
5 tips to choose from by area
Tips are selected according to area and depth: X (5×5 pins, 2 mm) · XE · XA (1.5 mm) · XW (3×6 pins) · XB (7×7 pins, 1.8 mm). Only genuine tips are used.
How DER AaN Cheongdam works with Sylfirm X We read the layer, choose the waveform, and match the depth
SEEIdentifying the layer of the concern
Melasma and flushing involve the basement membrane and blood vessels, while pores and elasticity involve the dermis. We first determine which layer the concern lies in.
PLANWaveform · depth · tip · sessions
We determine PW versus CW, needle depth and tip type for each area, and plan the number of sessions.

Chosen according to your concern —waveform and depth
PWPulsed wave — pigmentation · redness
Selectively on the basement membrane and abnormal vessels
CWContinuous wave — pores · firmness
Regeneration induced by thermal coagulation around the needle
0.3~4.0mmNeedle depth
Protecting the epidermis, targeting only the intended layer
Even with the same device, a different waveform and depth make it a different treatment.

These are the questions we are asked most often during consultations. Answers may vary depending on your individual skin condition.
How much does Sylfirm X cost?
It varies depending on the area — whether the whole face or a part — as well as the type of tip, the waveform and the number of sessions, so we explain it during the consultation. We look at which layer the concern lies in and then decide the tip, depth and number of sessions.
Is Sylfirm X suited to melasma, redness or pores?
All three can be treated, but with different waveforms. The pulsed wave (PW) delivers heat selectively to the basement membrane and abnormal vessels for melasma and redness, while the continuous wave (CW) creates thermal coagulation around the needles for pores, elasticity, and scars. Even within a single session, the settings are adjusted by area.
How many Sylfirm X sessions do I need?
It varies with the layer of the concern and your skin condition, and is usually carried out over several sessions spaced apart. For redness and melasma we plan sessions with superficial PW, and for pores and elasticity with deeper CW; this may differ from person to person.
Is the Sylfirm X procedure painful?
The procedure is performed after applying a numbing cream, and you feel a slight sting and a sensation of heat as the needles enter. Because the needle depth is adjusted between 0.3 and 4.0 mm for each area, areas set at a shallower depth tend to be less painful, and this varies from person to person.
Will there be redness or scabbing after Sylfirm X? When can I wear makeup?
Redness may last 1–2 days after the procedure, and needle marks may look like tiny dots before fading within a few days in most cases. Makeup is generally possible from the next day; on the day of the procedure, avoid rubbing firmly and be sure to use sun protection.
Should I have Sylfirm X or StarWalker?
StarWalker breaks up the pigment particles themselves, while Sylfirm X works on the basement membrane and blood vessel layers while also looking at skin texture and firmness. We can design them together, dividing your concerns: pico for pigment, the yellow laser for blood vessels, and Sylfirm for skin texture and firmness.
Results and how long they last may differ depending on individual skin condition, and our medical staff will explain possible side effects during the consultation.
