Hyaluronic acid and glycerol two moisturizing ingredients
fill together in the shallow dermis

BELOTERO REVIVE is a skin booster from Merz Aesthetics. A gel of hyaluronic acid with added glycerol is placed densely from the surface of the dermis to mid-depth. Rather than adding volume, it is used for hydration and to help improve skin texture, skin elasticity and fine lines.

How Revive treats the skinBELOTERO REVIVE— three principles

    01 HA + Glycerol

Hyaluronic acid and glycerol in one gel

Each 1 mL contains 20 mg of cross-linked hyaluronic acid and 17.5 mg of glycerol. Hyaluronic acid holds more water than its own weight, and glycerol is widely used in moisturizers, so together they replenish the moisture environment within the skin.

    02 CPM

A gel structure with sections of different densities mixed together

Belotero makes its gel by cross-linking hyaluronic acid strands once and then spreading them out again to add more hyaluronic acid. The result is a gel with both dense and loose sections, designed to spread evenly between skin tissues.

    03 Depth

From the surface of the dermis to mid-depth

A very small amount is divided across several points in the shallow dermis layer where fine lines and skin texture form. We change the injection method to suit the area, such as along a line or spread in a fan or grid pattern.

How DER AaN handles Revive Looking at the skin texture, dividing the area, and filling shallowly

  1. SEEChecking skin texture · fine lines · thickness

We first look at whether the skin looks rough and dry, where fine lines begin, and how thick the skin is.

  2. PLANArea · injection method · number of sessions

We decide the area and injection method for each site. The number of sessions is usually spaced several weeks apart and decided by watching your skin response.

  3. TREATPerformed personally by a trainer physician

Dr. Hangyeol Cho, a Merz Revive Trainer, evenly distributes genuine Revive into the shallow dermis.

Questions BELOTERO REVIVE Q&A

Frequently asked questions

These are the questions we receive most often at consultations, such as pain, recovery, number of sessions and differences from other procedures. The answer can differ depending on your individual skin condition.

Is the BELOTERO REVIVE procedure painful?
After numbing cream, it is placed shallowly in divided amounts with a fine needle, so it is often only a sting. Sensitive areas may sting a little more, and how much pain you feel varies from person to person.
When can I feel the effects?
After the swelling and injection marks settle, you can expect the skin to feel moist and even in texture, and changes build up over repeated sessions. The degree of change and how long it lasts vary from person to person with skin condition and lifestyle.
How long do swelling and bruising last after the procedure?
Redness, swelling, small bruises and slight bumps may appear at the injection sites, and they usually settle within a few days. On the day of the procedure, avoid makeup and vigorous face washing, and it is best to refrain from saunas, alcohol and strenuous exercise for a few days.
How many sessions, and at what interval?
It is usually done in 1-3 sessions several weeks apart, and afterward we set the timing of the next procedure by looking at your skin condition. The number of sessions, interval and cost vary with the area and amount used, so we advise at the consultation.
Who is it suited for?
Recommended for those whose skin is rough and dry so makeup does not sit well, those who are starting to get fine lines, and those who feel their skin has lost elasticity. If hollow cheeks or sagging is your concern, a filler, collagen booster or lifting may suit better, so we distinguish this first at the consultation. It is postponed if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or have inflammation at the treatment site.
How is it different from Belotero fillers?
Both carry the Belotero name, but the filler line is used to add volume to wrinkles or hollow areas, while Revive is a skin booster that combines lightly cross-linked hyaluronic acid with glycerol and is placed broadly in the shallow dermis to refine skin texture.
How is it different from other skin boosters?
Rejuran builds a regenerative environment with PN, and Juvelook stimulates collagen production with PDLLA. Revive fills in both moisturizing ingredients, hyaluronic acid and glycerol, together. It differs from SKINVIVE, which is also in the hyaluronic acid family, in ingredient composition and gel structure, and is chosen according to your concern and area.
Can I have it together with other procedures?
It can be designed together with lifting such as Ultherapy or Thermage, or with other skin boosters. Whether to do them on the same day or space them out is decided by your skin condition and swelling.

Results and how long they last may differ depending on individual skin condition, and our medical staff will explain possible side effects during the consultation.
