Gold PTT (Photo-Thermal Therapy) is an acne treatment in which tiny gold-coated particles are applied to the skin, guided by ultrasound into the sebaceous glands inside the pores, and then activated with a laser. Gold particles absorb light and turn it into heat, so heat gathers around the sebaceous glands where the particles collect, while irritation to the skin surface tends to be low. It can be used on the face · chest · back, where oil is abundant and acne keeps coming back, and red marks and pigmentation left by acne are planned together with the Clarity laser.

01 Deliver
Gold particles are guided into the pores
After cleansing away oil and impurities, a solution containing gold particles is applied, and ultrasound vibration helps the particles travel along the pores close to the sebaceous glands. Before the laser, any remaining solution is wiped off so particles do not stay on the skin surface.
02 Heat
Laser light turns into heat inside the sebaceous glands
When the laser is applied, the gold particles gathered in the pores absorb the light and give off heat. The heat gathers around the sebaceous glands and helps reduce the conditions in which excess oil and inflammation develop, while the surrounding skin without particles tends to receive less irritation.
03 With Clarity

Red marks and pigmentation left where acne has been are treated together with the Clarity laser, which uses two wavelengths, 755nm · 1064nm. Oil control and mark care are carried out in order within one plan.

Does Gold PTT hurt?
Since no needles are used — a solution is applied, then ultrasound and a laser are used — most people find it tolerable. You may feel a slight sting or warmth when the laser is applied, and areas with severe inflammation may feel it more, so we adjust the intensity while watching your skin.
Can I return to daily life right after treatment?
Most people return to daily life the same day. Redness or warmth may appear briefly right after treatment and usually settles within a few hours. Depending on the person, small breakouts may appear for a few days and then calm down — please don't squeeze them, and let the clinic know.
How many sessions, and at what intervals?
Several consecutive sessions are recommended rather than one, usually 2–4 weeks apart. The number of sessions and intervals are decided in consultation based on your acne pattern, oil level and any combined treatments.
When will I feel the effects?
Changes in oil production and shine are often felt gradually over continued sessions, and the degree varies by person. Because acne is also affected by lifestyle and hormones, we also guide you on consistent home care.
Can I have it while taking acne medication?
If you are taking or have recently taken oral acne medication (such as isotretinoin), be sure to tell us during the consultation. Your skin may be more sensitive, so we adjust the timing and intensity of treatment. If you use topical medication, you may pause it for a few days before and after treatment.
Can I have it on my chest or back, not just my face?
Yes, it can also be used for acne on the face · chest (front) · back. Because the skin on the body is thicker and produces more oil and sweat, the number of sessions · intervals may differ from the face.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Red marks and pigmentation left by acne are often treated with the Clarity laser afterward, and if there are depressed scars, scar treatment is planned in separate steps. Whether to do them on the same day and in what order depends on how your skin responds.
What should I watch out for after care?
On the day of treatment, avoid saunas · strenuous exercise · alcohol, and pause scrubs, exfoliants and harsh cosmetics for a few days. Use a gentle cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen diligently, and let the clinic know if redness or breakouts last.
