WiQo Uno is a topical skin booster made by WiQo of Italy. A solution containing 33% TCA (trichloroacetic acid) and homocysteic acid (HCA) is applied to the skin and absorbed with a set massage, without needles or heat. It suits those who feel their skin foundation has declined, with issues such as skin texture, radiance, dull tone and pores, and it may also be planned together with laser and injection treatments.

Tidies the surface oil layer, then the ingredients are absorbed
During the massage, the oil layer and old keratin on the skin's surface are tidied, and the TCA ingredient soaks through them into the upper dermis (papillary dermis). Unlike a peel that leaves the skin white and flaking, it does not strip the surface, so it is relatively easy to return to daily life afterward.
02 Homocysteic Acid
Homocysteic acid evens out tone
Homocysteic acid, one of WiQo Uno's main ingredients, regulates the activity of keratinocytes and melanocytes, helping reduce the buildup of melanin and keep skin tone even. It is considered when dullness or pigment left after procedures bothers you.
03 Fibroblast
Wakes up fibroblasts to support collagen
The ingredient that reaches the inside of the skin stimulates dermal fibroblasts and helps new collagen (type III) form. Firmness and glow tend to build up gradually over repeated sessions rather than after one, and the degree of change varies from person to person.

These are the questions we receive most often at consultations, such as pain, recovery, number of sessions and differences. The price varies with the number of sessions and combined care, so we advise at the consultation, and the answer can differ depending on your individual skin condition.
Is WiQo Uno painful?
Because no needle is used and the solution is applied and then absorbed through massage, it is less burdensome than injection procedures. You may briefly feel stinging or warmth during the massage, and sensitive skin may feel it more, so we proceed while checking your skin condition and use numbing cream if needed.
Can I wear makeup or go to work right after?
It is not a peel that leaves the skin white and flaking, and you can usually return to daily life right away. About 2~3 days after treatment, skin turnover speeds up and fine flaking may occur, and collagen fibers tighten, which may cause a feeling of tightness, but this is a normal reaction that settles within 2~3 days. Applying the regeneration cream we provide often will reduce the tightness.
When will I feel the effects?
Right after care, many people feel their skin is moist and smooth. Changes in firmness and tone tend to build up gradually over successive sessions and vary from person to person.
How many sessions, and at what intervals?
We recommend five sessions, 1~2 weeks apart, as one program. If the gap is too long, the changes from earlier sessions are harder to carry forward, so it is best to keep to the schedule; it is adjusted at the consultation according to your skin condition and any other treatments you receive.
How is it different from a peel?
Although it contains TCA, unlike a peel that strips away the skin surface, it works by letting the ingredient absorb into the skin without the process of white flaking. As a result, the recovery burden tends to be light.
Who is it suited for?
Recommended for those with rough skin texture and lost radiance, those bothered by dull tone or enlarged pores, and those who find injections burdensome. It cannot be received by those with very dry or highly sensitive skin or atopic skin, and if you have wounds or inflammation or recently had a strong exfoliating treatment, the timing is adjusted. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please tell us in advance at the consultation.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
With laser toning or needle RF, WiQo Uno is often given right after the procedure, while with lifting or injection procedures WiQo Uno is sometimes done first. Whether to have them on the same day, and in what order, is decided based on the type of procedure and your skin's response.
What should I watch out for after care?
On the day, avoid saunas and strenuous exercise, and for a few days rest scrubs, exfoliants and strongly irritating cosmetics. Apply moisturizer and sunscreen thoroughly, and let the clinic know if redness lasts long.
