Chitosan that goes in as a liquid and stays as a gel Chitosan inside the skin builds the foundation for regeneration
ResNovae Crystal Plus is a skin booster made mainly from natural chitosan. It uses LTG (Liquid to Gel) technology: it is delivered as a liquid along the fine channels opened by laser or needle procedures and then turns into a soft gel inside the skin, so the ingredient does not disperse quickly but stays in the skin to work. Chitosan is an ingredient that helps calm inflammation and supports the skin's own recovery, so it is used alongside laser and needle procedures for regenerative care of sensitized skin.
How chitosan works inside the skinResNovae Crystal— three principles
01 Liquid to Gel
Liquid on the way in, gel inside the skin
ResNovae is a water-like liquid when applied to the skin. Once it enters the skin along the fine channels opened by the procedure, it reacts to the skin's ions and body temperature and gradually turns into a gel, and this gel holds the ingredient in place. It is not firm enough to create volume and has a flowing quality, so it is used as a skin booster.
02 Chitosan
Chitosan, which calms inflammation and supports recovery
Chitosan is a natural polysaccharide obtained from chitin in crustacean exoskeletons or mushroom cell walls. It reduces reactive oxygen species to calm inflammatory reactions, and wakes up regeneration signals within the skin to support the recovery of damaged tissue. It also has an antibacterial action that suppresses acne bacteria, so it is designed together for breakout-prone skin as well.
03 With Laser
A booster used with laser and needle procedures
It contains no heat-sensitive ingredients such as growth factors, so the ingredient's action is maintained even when used with procedures that generate heat, such as radiofrequency. If ResNovae is delivered after creating fine channels with a fractional laser or microneedle radiofrequency, soothing and recovery of skin sensitized by the procedure can be managed together.

These are the questions we receive most often at consultations, such as pain, recovery, number of sessions and combined procedures. The answer can differ depending on your individual skin condition and the procedures you have together.
Is the ResNovae Crystal procedure painful?
ResNovae is often used together with laser or microneedle radiofrequency, so pain is felt mainly in the procedure it accompanies. Numbing cream is applied before the procedure, and applying ResNovae itself is often only a slight sting right after the procedure. How much pain you feel varies from person to person.
When can I feel the effects?
Many people first notice redness and sensitivity settling over the few days after the procedure, while changes in skin texture, pores and breakouts tend to build up gradually over repeated sessions. Because the gel stays in the skin and supports recovery, the timing can vary with skin condition.
How long do swelling and redness last after the procedure?
It depends on the intensity of the laser or needle procedure you had with it, but redness and heat usually last about 1-3 days and then settle. On the day of the procedure avoid makeup and saunas, and for a few days take careful moisturizing and sun protection.
How many sessions, and at what intervals?
It varies with whether we are treating acne, pores or fine lines, and is decided at the consultation. It is usually done in several sessions several weeks apart, and between sessions we look at your skin response and adjust the intensity and interval of the next procedure.
Can I have it if I have a shellfish allergy?
The chitosan in ResNovae is made from medical-grade raw material refined through two purification steps and managed so that substances causing shellfish allergy are not detected. Even so, people with a shellfish allergy need caution with the procedure, so please tell us at the consultation and the medical staff will decide whether to proceed.
How is it different from other skin boosters such as Rejuran?
Rejuran uses PN derived from salmon DNA, while ResNovae uses chitosan derived from chitin. ResNovae goes in as a liquid and turns into a gel within the skin where it stays, and because it has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects, it is often designed together for acne and post-procedure soothing care. Which booster suits you is decided by looking at your skin condition.
Can I have it together with laser or radiofrequency procedures?
It contains no heat-sensitive ingredients, so it was made to be used together with procedures that generate heat, such as radiofrequency. A typical approach is to create fine channels with a fractional laser or microneedle radiofrequency and then deliver it, and which procedure to pair it with is decided by your skin condition and concern.
What should I be careful about after the procedure?
On the day of the procedure, avoid scrubbing face washing, saunas, alcohol and strenuous exercise. For a few days, apply moisturizer and sunscreen steadily, and do not forcibly pick off flakes or scabs. If redness or itching lasts long, please let the clinic know.
Results and how long they last may differ depending on individual skin condition, and our medical staff will explain possible side effects during the consultation.
